Television viewing is so much different today than it was when it was first invented and started to become a common fixture in homes during the late 1930's. Programs that were viewed were much censored for content and language in the beginning. As the amount of adult content such as sex, violence, and language became an even greater issue for those with children, a solution to the problem finally came along. Parents now have the option of being able to block what their children have access to.

The one thing about this feature is that it will not work if you do not use it. To make sure your children are not viewing programming that is inappropriate for them, use the control. It is all in your hands and it can make at least one aspect of parenting a whole lot easier for the parent and child.
