Helpfull Hints When Choosing Your Indoor-Outdoor Carpeting

Using an indoor-outdoor carpet can be much less expensive than other types of regular carpeting. If you are on a limited budget, but still want to cover some ugly or worn floors with a carpeted surface, then indoor-outdoor carpeting might be your solution.

You might say, I do not want to use that ugly green fake grass inside my house. You do not have to because today indoor-outdoor carpeting can be purchased that looks and has the feel of real carpet, only it is cheaper. You will be amazed at the choices in styles and color available today.

The economy grade of the old green grass stuff is still being used for outdoor areas and is really cheap, but it is not what you would want in a den or living room.

There is a mid-grade plush style that you can get that is good looking enough to use in your home, but this grade is not as good as others if you have a lot of traffic. If you have children, a lot of company, or pets, you might want to choose an even better grade.

High grade plush will cost a little more than medium grade, but it would work better if you do have children, pets, and frequent guests. High grade plush indoor-outdoor carpeting will have a nicer look and feel too.

It will look more like expensive carpeting. This grade of plush can be really good to use in an extra bedroom, or in a cabin where you want it to look good, but really do not want to spend a lot of money.

If you are going to cover a cement floor in a basement, there is Berber indoor-outdoor carpeting that has marine backing that is wonderful for this. The Berber look is very stylish to use in a finished basement, but the marine backing will be useful because many times basement spaces even when finished out, can sometimes still have a problem with some moisture. The extra money that this top grade indoor-outdoor variety will cost is likely to be worth it.

Despite belief to the contrary, many people do like to have carpet in a bathroom. It is a matter of personal taste. If you are one of the ones who do like bathroom carpeting, then the Berber indoor-outdoor with marine backing is a perfect choice for you. It is mildew resistant and will hold up to the moisture that can be found in a bathroom.
