With the divorce rate having been so huge everywhere for some time now, it makes one wonder about all the publicity that weddings have been getting on television these days. It seems that every where you look there is a new show about weddings. Weddings that involve celebrities have always held fascination for the general public, but today we love to watch anyone get married. One of the first sources that we had for watching clips from the weddings of everyday people came from America's Funniest Videos. We got to see some of the most outrageous moments that weddings had to offer. It is amazing that some of these couples survived some of the accidents that took place before, during, or after their ceremony. One of the first reality wedding shows, Bridezillas, was aired first in the United Kingdom and in New York in 2003. The Fox network, which you get through cable or satellite services, aired a one hour special, Bridezillas in 2004. Late in the summer of 2004, the show began playing on WE, or Women's Entertainment channel. It has been on now for four seasons. Though Bridezillas did not originally start out to highlight the bad behavior of some brides, it defiantly ended up that way. From watching some of these brides you would think that the bride grooms would be scared to death. The prospect of marrying some of these brides should send a man screaming in fear and running for his life. Of course, most brides do not act quite as badly as some on this show. In all fairness, planning a wedding is one of the biggest events in a woman's life and it is stressful to say the least. It could be the reason so many couples choose to elope. Since then there has been a surge of other reality wedding shows. These might be considered a little more like the real thing, but they still depict the ups and downs involved in planning a great wedding. The arguments and disagreements that take place are common ones with anyone's wedding. If you like to see people who are changing their lives forever by tying the knot, you are not alone. They make some viewers laugh and some viewers cry. For the couples on these wedding shows, it is reality for sure. Whose Wedding is it anyway? Is a great nuptial program you might want to watch also, it comes on the Style network.
