The trial between telephone companies

But lately one of the IDT corporations announced that most of corporations, that sell phone cards, give just 36 seconds in exchange of 60. IDT in juristic procedures against some of their opponents announced that it is difficult to compete on a level playing field if one minute is not one minute. IDT/UTA (Union Telecard Alliance) company decided to sue the several companies-providers of prepaid phone cards for the unfair competition circumstances on a telephone services market.

IDT/UTA had asserted that unlike its proper calling cards, those of many of its rivals supply only approximately 60 percent of the minutes of telephone services announced and promoted on voice help heard by consumers in connection with calls performed by utilizing the defendants' cards and advertised by these rivals on th TV, newspaper, placard, internet, or another medium. In November 2007 Total Call International, Inc. and IDT/UTA have received a full settlement of the suit delivered by IDT Telecom, Inc. and Union Telecard Alliance, LLC against Total Call. It is the fourth group of defendants that have resolved the enforcement proceedings commenced by IDT/UTA. The other settling defendants to date are Epana Networks, Inc., Dollar Phone Corp. and related companies, and Locus Telecommunications, Inc. That unfinished suit is still on approval in the federal court in Newark, New Jersey. One of the features he takes pride in was the scope to set the duration of the minute to any size. Other feature was to randomly deduct a minute from the account. But that innovation is not their invention. Faceforth, every call card company has to change all the standards and the system of payment that way.

If you can primitively calculate, that you should make a rough calculation how many units you will have on the balance buying an international phone card. The proportion is 100 minutes by just $1! But remember to choose the phone card carefully, and be assured that you get the amount of units which you pay for. The companies, which have been drawn into this story, engaged for returning all the minutes to their consumers as soon as they can. IDT/UTA believes that until all accused have consented to follow to this rule, it is beneficial for the pending prosecution of this lawsuit to have a smooth process with fewer defendants. They have to accede to promote industry best practices and standards which defend consumers of prepaid card services and that set up a level playing field for all companies that sell, and provide telephone services for, prepaid cards. They would try to design the systems for examining the ability of pay beforehand phone cards to give the quantity of units prescribed for private destinations. The contracting parties consented to promote the effective monitoring system free for everybody that would like to control the operations.
